Product Reviews

Omron Long Life Pads - Standard is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from longevity of pads I've had the unit a couple months now. The unit works very well. However, there is no way one could get 150 uses on the pads. I used the pads twice and my husband used them once (after he shaved his arm), and even after he shaved his arm, the pads wouldn't stick when I used them again. I've washed the pads and will see how they adhere. Not at all impressed with the 150 use claim. Also, when I purchased new pads (very expensive), I expected it would have the plastic pad "holder" included so I could store those pads on the "holder" as well. How else can we have a set of pads for the both of us so we can use the same unit??

Rated 2 out of 5 by from great failure The unit itself is great unfortunitly the pads that state they are good for up to 150 uses lasted 4. Replacment pads are not worth the time or money

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unit Good Pads not so This is a good unit. I had dr Rx that lasted years and decided to buy this one instead of hassle of going through insurance. Not as much strength as the Rx one but still helps. The pads are not what they say they are. I used mine three times and now they do not want to stay on. Much like the Rx ones. So I was not expecting much. For as long as they do NOT last you would not think they would be so darn expensive though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Unit but Expensive Pads I have been using the set of pads that initially came with my unit, probably about 50-60 times. They are gradually losing adhesion and need to be replaced soon, so I "might" get 75 uses out of them. At first they worked well without wetting them, but after 10 or so uses it became necessary to wet them as stated in the instructions. After about 20 uses I had to wash them (as directed) so they would adhere and provide good conductivity. So far I've washed them 10 or so times, but they are no longer adhering well now.ffffff I came to the Omron web-site to order new pads since they are on sale. I've tried less expensive pads I bought elsewhere, but even when new they did not work as well as the well-used pads which came with my Omron unit. They did not adhere well and the conductivity was very poor. In other words, I strongly recommend you purchase the Omron pads vs. generic ones. I'm glad that I only bought two sets of the generics since they were a waste of money. In my opinion the Omron pads would be a good value if priced at $10 or less per set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I Find The Pads Are Fine My husband purchased the pain relief pro unit so while I was waiting for it to arrive I came here to read reviews and check prices. I was initially concerned about the life of the pads given the poor reviews so when my unit did arrive I tracked each use just to see how many uses I did get. 72 to be exact. 72 uses. Of course during that time span I did wash the pads with cold water only and allowed them to air dry 3 times but 72 uses is actually pretty good. I know the box says up to 150 uses (note the "up to" part) but the general consensus on reviews of other pads is anywhere from 70-100 uses is considered a good pad. If you apply the pads to clean skin, store them on their little storage doohickey and wash them in water only then you should get a good number of uses out of them too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Replacement Pads The replacement pads cost more than the entire unit!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 150 uses? That's way off base We bought our Omran Electrotherapy unit with the long lasting pads about 1 month ago. We found the unit to be extremely underpowered even on it's highest setting you can barely feel the tingling sensation on your lower back. The most disappointing this is the "Long Life Pad". It lasted about 25 attachments. We followed the instruction to the letter. Save your money and buy a heavy duty TENS unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Relief I am a little disappointed, I purchased my TENS unit on October 5th and just three days later one of the pads is not working properly. This unit was giving me immense relief from two pinched nerves in my lumbar region after a car accident, I am simply disappointed that I have to replace the pads already and I do not know what I am going to do for relief while I wait for the new pads to come in.
