HOW TO MONITOR YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE
BLOOD PRESSURE VS. HEART RATE
While the two sound similar, there’s actually no direct correlation between them. You can’t determine your blood pressure via your pulse, and a high heart rate doesn’t increase blood pressure. Because of this, it is important to measure your blood pressure with a clinically validated monitor.
Exercising within your target heart rate training zone allows you to achieve more in less time. The most popular zone is 50 to 80 percent of your maximum heart rate. This is where you achieve cardio benefits, burn fat and become more fit. A heart rate monitor or activity tracker does not measure blood pressure.
